Job Detail: Sponsors and Partners Manager


The Sponsorship & Partnership Manager is responsible for supporting relationships and fulfilling agreements related to donors, sponsorships and partnerships for the Slow Food Nations festival and key partnerships for Slow Food USA overall. This role reports directly to the Slow Food Nations Executive Director, and also works closely with other team members. The Partners and Sponsors role is primarily responsible for development, fulfillment and administration of partners and sponsors, recruiting and cultivating Taste Marketplace merchants, and leading the small business supporter program. As an integral member of the team, this role will also support general office operations and other partnership opportunities as they arise. 

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Support development of the sponsorship strategy, plan and pipeline
  • Participate in sponsorship development meetings and capture detailed notes and action items
  • Support Slow Food Nations fundraising events
  • Create and track sponsorship agreements
  • Oversee onsite sponsor activations, sponsor marketing + promotional benefits, complimentary ticket allocation, signage/logo placement and hospitality support as outlined in sponsor agreements
  • Liaise with Event Production, Event Operations and Communications teams to make sure all sponsor commitments are fulfilled
  • Check-in regularly with sponsors to maintain a positive, professional and high-touch relationship
  • Plan and organize the sponsor VIP lounge on Larimer Square, including check-in process, staffing needs and venue details
  • Organize and manage sponsor credentials
  • Create a template for sponsor summary report, identifying key information to capture during the festival
  • Create sponsor summary reports and follow up post-festival
  • Manage sponsor records and information in Airtable and Salesforce
  • Secure, manage and track in-kind sponsorships
  • Maintain oversight of any sponsor and partner agreements that extend beyond Slow Food Nations, and be the external and internal point person
  • Provide general support for the festival executive director for sponsorship management
  • Research and provide recommendations for ticketing partnership and platform
  • Work with festival executive director to handle any issues that arise

Position Qualifications: 

  • Excellent organizational skills with accuracy, follow-through and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and with a team, while handling multiple projects simultaneously 
  • Ability to work closely with all kinds of different people — a positive team player, able to recognize when people need help and willing to jump in with a smile
  • Experience with managing strategic relationships with a professional demeanor, client service orientation and hospitality focus
  • Excellent writing and communication skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and a sense of humor in a rapidly moving, dynamic environment
  • Willingness to encourage a diverse range of perspectives and experiences, and support a welcoming and inclusive organizational culture for all people

In addition to the above qualifications, the ideal candidate would have:

  • Experience with activating brands and organizations at festivals and events
  • Self-motivation and ability to learn quickly
  • Spanish speaking skills
  • Experience with Google Suite, Airtable, Slack and Salesforce
  • A shared passion and commitment to Slow Food values
