The Program Associate serves as a core member of Project Bread’s Child Nutrition Outreach Program (CNOP) working to provide administrative and programmatic support to the CNOP team to expand participation in school breakfast and summer meals.

Position Summary:

The successful candidate for this role will possess excellent organizational and communications skills. They will ensure the success of the team’s work through essential organizational and administrative duties and the management of statewide child nutrition program data. 


Position Responsibilities:

Ensures the administrative efficiency for the Child Nutrition Outreach Program (CNOP)

  • Coordinates ordering and inventory of materials for CNOP, including office supplies and outreach materials.
  • Manages contact database for CNOP including input and cleanup of database. Works with various partners to get statewide contact lists. Coordinates organizational use of database and works to pull contact lists as needed.
  • Processes and tracks invoices throughout the fiscal year.
  • Fulfills all School Breakfast Program (SBP) and Summer Eats material requests and tracks material mailings.
  • Handles all general CNOP requests received through email and phone and triages as necessary.
  • Schedules meeting rooms and takes minutes during weekly CNOP meetings.

Manages SBP and SFSP data provided by the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE)

  • Maintains SBP and Summer Eats data from DESE to enable CNOP to track program participation in targeted communities.
  • Disseminates data to team and organization when requested.

Manages CNOP team tracking and reporting

  • Compiles and edits team stories monthly to aid the Communications Team.
  • Manages the CNOP monthly report for DESE, ensuring accurate reporting and creation of an executive summary.

Manages the planning of an annual conference for Summer Eats sponsors and partners

  • Works with outside vendors to secure event space and coordinate logistics for event.
  • Project-manages the planning of the conference for all team members. 

Helps maintains grant system through Blackbaud Grantmaking

  • Tracks grant application submission through Blackbaug Grantmaking.
  • Assists Director and team with grant scoring/review and grant-related communications.
  • Attends trainings with Blackbaud Grantmaking consultant as necessary.
