It’s a new year and there is a new federal administration. Even though the crises of 2020 continue to challenge our endurance, our communities and our food systems, we remain resilient. The Johns Hopkins Center for a Livable Future’s Food Policy Networks project invites you to join us for a conversation about legislative opportunities and food policy council (FPC) desires for food systems change in 2021 and beyond.  Guest speakers Adam Zipkin, Counsel for US Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ) and Katherine Stewart, Legislative Director for Congresswoman Alma Adams (D-NC) will discuss food and farm priorities for the federal government, including opportunities arising from the events of 2020, challenges in achieving reform, and ways for FPCs to engage.  Attendees will have a chance to share their desires for food systems change, work together to identify shared policy priorities, and talk about how to share their stories with elected officials.
This is the second part of a two-part series for FPCs and others to reflect on the impact of 2020 on the food system and how we move forward together.  A recording of part one held on January 6, 2021 can be accessed here.
