Theme Gardens with Dr. Norm Lownds, Director 4-H Children’s Garden, MSU

Michigan State University Extension is offering a free Winter 2021 Virtual School Garden Education
series. The target audience for this series is formal and informal educators including school and
community garden organizers. This series of six interactive, educational garden sessions will be held
every other Wednesday starting February 3, 2021 to April 14, 2021 from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. By
registering for the entire series, you will be able to attend each session using the same link.

Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at 4:00 pm: Theme Gardens with Dr. Norm Lownds, Director 4-H
Children’s Garden, MSU. Join Dr. Norm to explore using Theme Gardens as an effective way to
engage kids with plants and gardens. Spend a little time in the 4-H Children’s Gardens in the Performing
Plants Garden, Dinosaur Garden, Butterfly Garden, Pizza Garden and others. Get some inspiration to let
your imaginations run with your Theme Garden ideas and plans.
